RTI International Metals reports earnings

RTI International Metals Inc. reported quarterly earnings of $15,000, or zero cents a share, compared with a loss of $1.4 million, or minus 5 cents a share, a year earlier.

Sales jumped 23 percent to $142 million from less than $115 million. Based in Pittsburgh, RTI produces titanium for the defense, aerospace, energy and other markets.

For the full year, earnings jumped 91 percent to $6.6 million, or 22 cents a share, compared with $3.4 million, or 11 cents a share. Sales jumped 23 percent to $530 million from $432 million.
