State police at Indiana are seeking the public’s help in locating a robber who held up a rural Indiana County convenience store twice in six days.

Police said the man threatened a clerk with a knife when he robbed Chidboy’s convenience store on Route 286 in Montgomery Township about 5:40 p.m. Thursday. The store is about 25 miles northeast of Indiana.

The first robbery occurred July 16, and it appears to be the same suspect involved in both incidents, troopers said.

On Thursday, police said, the robber drove past the store several times in a gold- or tan-colored Dodge Grand Caravan. The suspect then pulled into the parking lot and entered the store.

Troopers did not disclose how much money was taken in each robbery. The suspect then fled east on Route 286 in the vehicle.

The robber is described as a white male wearing a T-shirt over his face, blue jeans and a black hoodie. Police said the man has a deep voice and appears to have “bad posture.”

It is possible that the “bad posture” may be attributed to a physical disability or debilitating condition, troopers said.
