Dearest Hempfield Area Superintendent Terry Foriska: I am one of the people whose school taxes pay you. I have been paying our great teaching establishments for 60 years-plus to do a job that is not up to the job done in the rest of the world!
I also served my country for years when it needed me. Now, let me tell you the president is our country’s leader and the chief of our armed services.
How dare a school district not allow our children to hear our president⢠What country are you from⢠What are you hiding or trying to keep from our children⢠You are in charge of district employees, not of the people who pay you and them. How dare you keep this from happeningâ¢
When I found out my school system would not allow its students to listen to our president talk specially to schoolchildren, I about threw up — it disturbed me so much.
I must ask all taxpayers to rethink how we pay for our children’s education. Could it be that we must fire all the so-called professionals and put every school up for bids by others who might do as well or better⢠Could it be that we should do what another president did years back?
Remember the air traffic controllers⢠They were all civil servants who were fired because they went on strike and were not doing their jobs. Could it be that our education system is not doing its job⢠Maybe teachers go on strike too much to remember what they are paid to do. Could we need another action like President Reagan’s?
Could we have an education for our children that’s just as good or maybe even better⢠Now it’s time again for taxpayers to take another look at who is and is not doing that.
