Scottdale man charged with raping child in 1990s
A Scottdale man has been charged with raping and sexually assaulting a child almost 16 years ago.
Borough police arrested Anthony Kiliany, 49, on Thursday.
A man reported in 2013 that he had been raped numerous times as a child by Kiliany over the course of several years, police said. Court documents most of the offenses happened in 1999.
Kiliany allegedly used physical force to sexually assault the boy and threatened him and his family, according to police.
He was charged with three counts of rape of a child, four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, single counts of statutory sexual assault and sexual assault, and five counts of indecent assault.
Kiliany is being held in the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of $150,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing before East Huntingdon District Judge Charles Moore is scheduled for March 18.
