Scottdale woman hurt in head-on collision
A Scottdale woman was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital Wednesday after she was involved in a two-vehicle head-on accident on an icy Fayette County roadway.
Michelle Brozik, 27, was flown to Mercy Hospital, Oakland, state police at Belle Vernon said. A hospital spokeswoman had no information about Brozik's condition.
Police said Brozik was going east on Reservoir Road shortly after 7 a.m. yesterday when her 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis slid on ice and hit a van. The van's operator, Eugene W. Martinosky Jr., 47, of Everson, was treated at the scene, authorities said.
Reservoir Road was closed to traffic for about 90 minutes.
