PENGUINS at TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING

When/where: 3 p.m. Saturday/St. Pete Times Forum

TV/radio: FSN, WXDX-FM 105.9

Last game: Lost, 2-0, against the New Jersey Devils Wednesday

Season series: Penguins lead, 1-0. Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 22 of 23 shots when these teams met at Mellon Arena on Oct. 17.

Pens streak: Lost 3

Who to watch: Tampa LW Ryan Malone, a former Penguin and Upper St. Clair native, is enjoying his finest NHL season, having already produced 19 goals and 16 assists in 40 games. …Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said he is not sure if defenseman Sergei Gonchar (lower body injury) will play tonight at Tampa Bay. Gonchar, who practiced for only 15 minutes yesterday, was injured blocking a shot Wednesday at New Jersey.

Trends n’ at: Center Evgeni Malkin has only one point in the three games since registering a hat trick against Ottawa Dec. 23…The Penguins’ power play ranks worst in the league at 15.1 percent.

Make a note: The Penguins historically struggle on the Florida swing but have played better in the Sunshine State in recent years. Last season, the Penguins went 3-1 in Florida, which included a perfect 2-0 mark in Tampa.
