I study Spanish. My goal is to be a teacher at the secondary level, and I support the teaching of languages in schools.

We should encourage all our kids to learn a second language. It's best if we can start in elementary school.

We shouldn't be so arrogant and expect everyone else to speak English. By not knowing other languages, a person is at a disadvantage. He is dependent on others. Instead of needing a translator, a bilingual person can take action himself. This translates into a kind of freedom.
