Brooks, Young

Air Force Airman Justin S. Brooks and Airman First Class Kelly A. Young have graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

During the six weeks of training, the airmen studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.

In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Brooks is the son of David Brooks of Milligantown Road, New Kensington, and Robin Davis of Apollo. In 2001, the airman graduated from Burrell High School, Lower Burrell.

Yount is the daughter of Wayne and Carla Yount of Elderton and is a 2005 graduate of Elderton Junior-Senior High School. She received an associate degree in 2005 from the Institute of Computer Management in Pittsburgh.
