The Allegheny County Sheriff's Office on Saturday arrested a Springdale man who was included on the department's "Most Wanted Dead Beat Parents" list because he owed more than $150,000 in child support. Martin Thomas Moore, 51, has been wanted on an Allegheny County bench warrant since 2003 for failure to respond to court orders relating to his divorce and child support payments owed to his former wife, Sandra Moore, according to authorities and court records. County detectives recently learned Martin Moore was living in a Springdale apartment on Center Avenue and tracked his movements for about a month, according to a sheriff's office press release. Detectives kept the basement apartment under surveillance for several days and moved in to arrest Moore Saturday morning. Authorities reportedly were about to force entry into the apartment on Saturday when Moore opened the door and surrendered, according to the sheriff's office. He was taken to the Allegheny County Jail to await a hearing before an Allegheny County Family Court Judge. With a debt of about $153,000, the sheriff's office said Moore ranked near the top of the list of alleged deadbeat parents owing the most money. Moore previously lived on Five Acres Drive, Indiana Township, with his wife and three children, whose current ages are 18, 22 and 24, according to court records. The Moores separated in 1993 after more than 14 years of marriage and Sandra Moore accused her estranged husband of abandoning the family in court documents filed in 2003. Court orders sent to Martin Moore in Oct. 2003 at a Cambridge Drive address in the Harwick section of Springdale Township were not received. Additional Information:
