Looking to stay dry and do things in Plum and Oakmont this week?

Here are some options:

• Plum Community Center hosts line dancing classes at 9:30 and 10 a.m. Thursday at 499 Center New Texas Road.

• Bingo is set for 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the community center. Each card is 75 cents.

• Yoga with Leslie Hlozek is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday at the community center. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing.

• Meditation with a Monk is set for 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Oakmont Carnegie Library, 700 Allegheny River Blvd.

Join the monks from Natrona Height’s Pittsburgh Buddhist Center for an hour of relaxing meditation. The program is offered every Tuesday evening.

  • Book Buddies storytime is set for 10:30-11:15 a.m. Wednesday. Children ages birth to 5 years old, with their caregiver, are invited to play, make a craft and listen to stories. No registration is necessary.

  • Zumba with Kara Steiner is scheduled for 6:30-7 p.m. Wednesday. The dance fitness class is open to all skill levels.

  • Illustrated Wisdom with Sandra Gould Ford is planned for 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Illustrated Wisdom uses art materials like crayons, markers, paints and pencils to doodle and scribble, splash and create unique and special images. The more abstract the better.

  • The Oaks Theater hosts Pittsburgh Rock ‘N Roll legend Billy Price 7:30 p.m. Friday at 310 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets range between $17-$22 and are available at or by calling 888-718-4253.
