Teachers in the South Butler School District intend to go on strike on Thursday.
The South Butler Education Association's lead negotiator, Christine Cortazzo, issued the notice this morning to the district.
The district responded asking the union to reconsider and offered to send the contract issues to non-binding arbitration. There was no immediate response from the SBEA.
