A federal judge sentenced a South Hills man yesterday to time served after he pleaded guilty to threatening a federal agent.

Regonaldo Demelio, 41, told U.S. District Judge Arthur Schwab that a doctor had found the right combination of medications for his bipolar and intermittent explosive disorders and it has eliminated the anger that drove him to make the threats.

"I ruined my entire life. I became a career criminal," he said.

Schwab sentenced Demelio to three years of probation with a condition that he continue to receive mental health treatment.
