With Attack Theatre poised to unleash the 10th inception of its Dirty Ball in an abandoned South Side warehouse on April 11, tender eyes had to be warned about what to expect from the dance group's annual party.

“I told the security guards, ‘Look, you'll see women walking by in cocktail dresses and then you'll see a boy wearing booty shorts and angel wings on roller skates,' ” explained a city cop manning the door. “I love doing this detail.”

Early on, a string of deliciously wicked innuendos echoed joyously throughout the cavernous space tucked discreetly behind Bingham Street. When the roller skates began to materialize, a bedazzled, bare-chested Russell Webber contemplated the fate of the jewels on his chest as passersby couldn't resist picking off their favorite.

“I'm going to be like candy,” he said.

With things going full-tilt, the mob basked in the glow of an '80s-themed performance that left little to the imagination and formed beads of sweat on the brows of admirers ... at least for those who weren't safely ensconced behind the curtains of Richard Parsakian's Velvet Lounge.

Spied were co-founders Michele de la Reza andPeter Kope, Rebecca Himberger, chair Kesha Pate, Joe King, Patrick Jordan andEileen French, Ken and Pam McCrory, Clyde Jones andRobert Morris, Brian Siewiorek, Mary McKinney andMark Flaherty, Cindy andMurry Gerber, Paul Gitnik andGene Svrcek, Sean Gray, Ken andMarina Lehn, Peter andNancy Del Presto, David andDiane Denis, Donnie Iris, Rich andCindy Engler, David Onufer and Paul Purdy.
