A 33-year-old Malaysian man says his marriage to a 104-year-old woman in February has enabled him to slow down and stay in one place.

Former army soldier Mohammed Noor Che Musa told the Harian Metro newspaper he had found peace since marrying Wook Kundor.

It was his first marriage, and by his bride's account, her 21st, the Malaysia Star said.

Initially, Mohammad said he sympathized with Wook as she was alone in the world, but over time, his feeling turned into love.

He also acknowledged many friends and relatives questioned his motive for marrying a woman old enough to be his great-grandmother.

"Before meeting Wook, I never stayed in one place for long," Mohammed said. "I am not after her money, as she is poor. Her only asset is her deep religious knowledge."
