Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp is being sued in Miami by one of the women featured in a sex video he made with Kid Rock in 1999.

The suit filed Thursday in Miami-Dade County Circuit Court claims "Jane Doe" allowed herself to be filmed having sex with Stapp "under the belief that the video was to remain in Stapp's private possession," The Smoking Gun reports on its Web site.

The suit also naming the company trying to market the video -- World Wide Red Light District Video -- seeks monetary damages for invasion of privacy and emotional distress.

Stapp has claimed the video was stolen and passed to Red Light by someone trying to sabotage his solo career.

Kid Rock has filed suit in Detroit to try and stop sales of the tape and last month successfully won a temporary restraining order stopping Red Light from streaming excerpts of the tape on the Internet.

The next hearing in the case is set for March 23.
