State education funding is topic of meeting tomorrow

Residents are invited to a public meeting tomorrow to learn more about Gov. Tom Corbett's proposed education funding cuts.

Ron Cowell, president of the Education Policy and Leadership Center and former chair of the state House Education Committee, will discuss public education funding and legislation that would launch the state's first school voucher system.

The League of Women Voters, A+ Schools and other community groups are co-sponsoring the meeting, which will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at CAPA High School, Downtown.
