The Amphitheatre at Station Square has been renamed the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at Station Square.

"We're pleased to be the title sponsor of the Amphitheatre and to help provide entertainment options for the whole family," says Ralph Martin, Trib Total Media president and CEO.

The venue has announced 19 concerts for this season, including appearances by Heart, the Flaming Lips, 311, B.B. King and the Scorpions. The amphitheater also will host Fallen Not Forgotten 2 on May 31, a fundraiser featuring local bands that will benefit the families of Penn Hills police officer Michael Crawshaw and state police Trooper Paul Richey, both of whom were killed in the line of duty.

The Charlie Daniels Band also will headline a charity concert on June 4 to raise funds for the 2011 Wheelchair Games, which will be held in Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Concert Group, headed by businessman Bernie Firman, invested $1 million last year to re-open the venue after a two-year hiatus.

Between 30 to 40 concerts and events are expected to presented at the Trib Total Media Amphitheatre this year.
