Stella-Jones Inc., a Montreal, Canada-based producer of wood products, plans to move its U.S. headquarters to Pittsburgh from West Virginia.
"We expect within the next two or three weeks to announce our new 8,000-square-foot headquarters location, probably at Gateway Center," said Doug Fox, senior vice president of U.S. operations.
Plans are to close its 28-employee office in Ripley, W.Va., and combine it with a 10-employee office of the former Tangent Rail Corp. office now located at Station Square in October, he said. A plant in DuBois will remain open. The purchase of Tangent in April moved Stella-Jones into the number two place in North America in the production of railway ties.
