Stop over at Sub & Pub anytime during this month for some food and beverage specials. The restaurant is celebrating its 25th year in business and owner Lou Ross has taken many of the old-time favorites and priced them the way they were when the establishment was first purchased. Congratulations to Cindy Underwood and her committee for a great turnout for KidsFest. The event was rescheduled from the Mt. Pleasant Glass and Ethnic Festival and was a hit with kids from the area.
The Visitation Finance Council will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake, egg and sausage breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday. Cost for the home-cooked breakfast will be $5 for adults and $2.50 for children age 10 and younger with the little ones age 3 and younger eating free. The breakfast will be held in the Visitation Community Center on Walnut Street
The fourth annual "Pilates for Pink" will be taking place at the Mt. Pleasant Family Regional YMCA. Members and everyone in the community are invited to attend one of their pilates classes and donate $10 or more to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. It will take place during the 8:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. classes Oct. 29. Prizes and refreshments will be available.
The Mt. Pleasant Faith in Action organization is seeking volunteers for our area. You don't have to commit to a large amount of time, just an hour or two a week can make a big difference. For information, call 724-542-4117.

The Mt. Pleasant Library's new fall hours will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays.
A community bonfire will be held, starting at 7 p.m. Oct. 22. The bonfire will be held at Mt. Pleasant High as a pep rally event. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend to support our undefeated Vikings.
