Al Gore III, son of envirocrat Al Gore, was arrested early Independence Day morning for allegedly driving 100 mph on a freeway south of Los Angeles. Police say they also found marijuana and prescription drugs for which young Al did not have a script. But he was driving a hybrid Toyota Prius. Perhaps someone should tell Little Al that he should save himself before attempting to save the planet. ... Former President Bill Clinton initially was mistaken for TV game show host Bob Barker during a Fourth of July parade in Clear Lake, Iowa. Which certainly should upset Mr. Barker. ... While some pundits may be all ga-ga over Barack Obama's prodigious fundraising, even Democrat insiders are saying the senator now needs a message . Oh, yeah, there is that. ... Some very wise words from Hoover Institution scholar Victor Davis Hanson: "A savvy public is neither racist nor hysterical in wanting the border closed now. It's the only comprehensive solution to the present mess of illegal immigration." Now is the time for Congress to truly represent what its constituents demand. But don't hold your breath.
