Hines Ward is Super Bowl XL's MVP• I think he's a lot more than that.

In 2004, a jet-lagged Hines Ward participated in the Extreme Summer program and visited Spangdahlem Air Base in Germany. He had breakfast with the airmen at the chow hall and met my daughter, who is painfully shy. Despite the early time and looking exhausted, Ward took time with my daughter and even managed to get a few giggles from her.

I observed him interacting with the airmen and the way he let each of them know that he appreciated their service to our country. Everyone who had the opportunity to meet him commented on how pleasant their interaction was. I feel that Ward is not only a Super Bowl MVP but also a Patriotic MVP as well.
