A South Side motorist and two friends have identified a pair of suspects in a violent road rampage last week as the men who attacked them on East Carson Street, Pittsburgh police said Tuesday.
James Davies, 25, and Herman Girvin, 28, both of the North Side, will be charged with three additional counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment, said Zone 3 police Cmdr. Cheryl Doubt.
Davies and Girvin are already charged with ramming one car with their Ford Excursion in Uptown and running several motorcyclists off the road in the Strip District in the hours after midnight on July 16. Girvin is also charged with severely beating a man outside a Troy Hill bar that night.
Between the Uptown and Strip District incidents, Girvin jumped on the hood of a car on the South Side while Davies smashed the car's window with a baseball bat, police said. The victims identified Girvin as the man who then drove the Excursion into their car before the victims drove away, Doubt said.
Girvin and Davies have been released from jail on bond. They face a hearing on the initial charges Friday.
