Layup lines: Portersville Christian defeated Cheswick Christian, 51-38, in the National Christian School Athletic Association Tip-off Tournament at Geneva College on Dec. 11. … Cheswick beat Portersville, 60-42, in last season’s title game. … Cheswick was the champion of the Greater Pittsburgh Conference and Portersville Christian won the Tri-County Conference. … Both teams were undefeated in conference play. … The Chargers are vying for their third straight title, and it’s their fourth consecutive appearance in the championship game. … The Warriors’ lone blemish was an 81-37 loss to First Love Christian School during the NCSAA Tip-off Tournament. … Cheswick 6-foot-10 junior forward Ben Pollock averages nearly a triple-double and was co-MVP of the SWCAC. … Pollock is four points away from 1,000 in his career. … The other co-MVP was Portersville junior combo guard Stephen Graham, who has more than 1,700 career points. … Senior Andy Skledar, a 1,000 point scorer for Cheswick, is doubtful to play because of an injury. … Skledar scored a career-high 30 points in last year’s SWCAC championship game. … A.J.
