Your Sept. 21 article "Business expansion pushed in Indiana" brings up a very good point: Business will move into an area that has lower taxes (tax-free zones). If that is the case, why doesn't the state Legislature lower taxes for the entire state of Pennsylvania instead of just pockets throughout the state?

Oh, I forgot! State government would have to cut spending and get smaller, and we all know the only people in Pennsylvania allowed to cut spending are the Pennsylvania residents who have less money because of the taxes placed upon them.

I run a business in Indiana, Pa., and wonder why one part of Indiana County is different from any other. These so-called tax-free zones are just another way for government to keep control of our lives, rather than giving business the freedom to locate wherever it wants, which should be anywhere in the state, not just in a spot picked out by government!

What happens when the tax-free status ends• Will the business leave?
