Technical flaw affects Internet service

A technical problem left about 13,000 Comcast customers without high-speed Internet service for a short time Tuesday.

Brian Jeter, Comcast spokesman, said customers in portions of Greensburg, McKeesport, Penn Hills, Laurel Valley and Mon Valley were affected.

Jeter said service was disrupted for less than an hour yesterday afternoon. He said outages are rare, citing a 99.9 percent network reliability.
