Teen charged in Downtown shooting released after posting bail
A teenage boy charged in a Downtown shooting that critically wounded another teen was freed on bail early Wednesday.
Pittsburgh police charged Denzel Glover, 16, of Northview Heights as an adult with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and related counts, court records show.
Police said Glover shot a 17-year-old boy in the chest Tuesday with a .22-caliber pistol on Sixth Street. The victim ran to Wood Street, where he collapsed near a T station.
Paramedics rushed him to UPMC Mercy, where he was upgraded Tuesday night from critical to stable condition.
Senior Judge Robert Barner arraigned Glover early Wednesday morning and set his bail at $10,000, which Glover posted, court records show.
A preliminary hearing for Glover is set for Sept. 23.
