Teen cheerleaders end up on porn site
A Maryland high school cheerleading squad has been banned from an annual competition because photos of them ended up on a pornographic Web site.
While the photos of the girls during practice pretending to kiss and striking provocative poses were meant to be seen only by friends on an online photo-sharing site, they were copied to the porn site in November.
The principal of Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville, Michael Doran, said he received an anonymous e-mail in November that included the personal and team photos of the cheerleaders and alerted him the pictures were featured on a pornographic Web site.
He told the Washington Post the girls were clothed in all of the photos and that none of the photos was graphic. He described the pictures as "girls goofing."
The parent of one cheerleader said she called police and the state's attorney about launching investigations but was told because the pictures were not pornographic, nothing could be done.
