Officials in Euless, Texas, have decided to name a bronze statue of a dog sitting on the porch of a historic log cabin Bulger.

Since the sculpture was added to the Andrew Jackson Himes log cabin attraction in 2000, volunteer guides have been peppered with children's questions about the dog's name, the Fort Worth Star Telegram said.

"We never had an answer," said Suzanne Hendrickson, city recreation manager and staff liaison to the city's Historical Committee.

After consultation with living members of the Himes family, City Council members were set to approve the name Tuesday night, a so-named dog once lived in the 154-year-old cabin, located southwest of the Fort Worth-Dallas Airport.

Family members said the name is not really vulgar, as it was pronounced more like the coffee brand "Folger," the newspaper said.
