A woman from Thailand is accused of using two websites to sell prescription drugs domestically that can't legally be brought into the United States, according to an affidavit unsealed on Friday in federal court, Downtown.

Prosecutors have charged Duangthip Chutivaraporn, 32, with smuggling and fraud. She is being held without bond to await a hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Sean Grillo, a special agent for the Food and Drug Administration's Pittsburgh field office, said in the affidavit that Chutivaraporn's family in Bangkok operates multiple online pharmacy websites that offer to sell prescription drugs without prescriptions.

Grillo, working undercover, said he met with Chutivaraporn and others to discuss buying the drugs, and subsequently used another identity to purchase generic versions of drugs such as Viagra.
