The high costs of Iraq

Tribune-Review

I wonder how our Operation Iraqi Freedom is progressing. The news reported 400 Iraq citizens were killed in the last two weeks. Was Iraq better off with Saddam Hussein? We invaded Iraq to stop the weapons of mass destruction, which we couldn't find and proved to be a fabrication of the Bush administration to go to war. How will we know when we have won the war• Will it be at the end of the Bush administration or when we have destroyed the complete country• Of course, then we will pay to rebuild the country. We are now spending about $50 billion a year, $5.7 million an hour, $1,585 a second every day to supply the invasion of Iraq, which was totally unnecessary. The most tragic loss is over 1,600 of our servicemen and women and the thousands injured for life. George H. Springer Rector
