Ugly redux: Nationalist Russian legislators want to outlaw all Jewish organizations and punish officials who support them, reports The Associated Press. In a letter from about 20 State Duma members: "It is possible to say that the entire democratic world today is under the monetary and political control of international Judaism, which high-profile bankers are openly proud of." Surely Goebbels and Hitler are smiling in Hell.

Hillary, morphed: In the last month or so, Hillary Clinton has come to "understand" those who oppose abortion, taken to promoting faith-based solutions to public problems and is talking of get-tough solutions for better controlling the influx of illegal aliens. There's no doubt Mrs. Clinton isn't running just for re-election to the U.S. Senate but, of course, for the Democrats' 2008 presidential nomination. Why else would she morph herself into something she never was, isn't and will never be?

Rick who?: The Weekly Standard's Duncan Currie lists the early A-list of prospective GOP presidential candidates for 2008. There's John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Bill Frist and Mitt Romney. And there's the B-list: Bill Owens, Chuck Hagel, George Allen and George Pataki. But Sen. Rick Santorum, R-Pa., doesn't even make the also-mentioned list. Perhaps conservatives are more upset with him for supporting Arlen Specter than anybody calculated.
