Comedy Central has hired some of the nation's top comedians and writers to develop new shows for the network. Adam Sandler, Sarah Silverman, Lewis Black and Morgan Spurlock are a few of the names working under development deals with the network, the New York Daily News reported Thursday. Spurlock's show, "Public Nuisance," has him traveling the country exploring and confronting a variety of social and political issues. Silverman, the long-time girlfriend of ABC TV late night host Jimmy Kimmel, will star in a half-hour series based on her life. Sandler's "Gay Robot" has Nick Swardson as the voice of a frat house robot whose creator accidentally spills wine cooler in his circuit boards -- making him gay. © Copyright 2005 by United Press International
