The Westmoreland County Young Democrats and the Democratic Women of Westmoreland are partnering with Toys for Tots to collect toys from 4 to 7 p.m. today in the Westmoreland County Courthouse plaza, corner of Otterman and Main streets.
Volunteers will be at the corner to collect new, unwrapped toys directly from vehicles. Children from local schools will sing carols, and hot chocolate and cookies will be served.
The event coincides with Greensburg's Luminary Night, sponsored by the Greensburg Business Association. Free horse-drawn carriage rides and refreshments will be offered.
