The claim: Jane Iredale Circle/Delete is a dual-side eye conditioner and concealer in one that conceals dark circles and brings light to shadowed areas with mineral pigments, while soothing skin with moringa butter, avocado oil and green-tea extract. It can be used over or under foundation, and both sides can be used on their own or blended together. Its creamy texture glides over the skin and dries to a silky finish. It comes in three shades.

Cost: $30

My under-eye circles are the bane of my existence (followed closely by scales and the Squirrel Hill Tunnel).

I bother with my typical concealer only to hide blemishes since coming across Jane Iredale's Circle/Delete peach palette. (Though, according to the company's blog, Circle/Delete can be used to camouflage pimples, too.) I ignore the instructions and use my fingers — instead of a brush — to pat a small amount of the lighter shade under my eyes first.(Trust me: Two layers is too much. Hello, raccoon eyes!) I then do the same with the darker color until I'm satisfied with the coverage. To set it, I tap on a bit of mineral foundation.

The concealer, creamy yet sheer, provides excellent coverage without looking caked and stays in place all day. Because it's packed with vitamins A, C, D and E, and green-tea extract, it nourishes that sensitive skin, as well.

At $30, it's nearly double the price that I typically spend on concealer, but a little goes a long way. Even though I'm satisfied with the coverage that the peach palette provides for my fair skin, I'm going to buy the yellow one to use when my allergies flare up or after a sleepless night. (Pro tip: Yellow concealer counteracts the blue in dark circles.)

Jane Iredale Circle/Delete concealer is definitely worth a try, especially if you have a problem finding a concealer for your skin tone. The product is an eye conditioner and concealer containing moringa butter, avocado oil and green-tea extract. It comes in three shades, which should work for most skin tones, since you can blend to find your perfect match.

The product comes in a bronze pot with two hemispheres, one being the light tone and the other, the dark tone.

To apply, use the handle of your concealer brush to dip into both sides and mix on the back of your hand. This will warm the concealer to give it a nice, creamy consistency and give you a nice blend. Dip the brush into the mixture and swipe on to problem areas, such as dark circles under the eye or dark spots and blemishes. With this product, a little goes a long way. Use a small amount to keep the product from creasing or looking too thick on the skin. The two shades can be mixed together for the perfect concealer blend, or one side can be used. The lighter color can be used as a highlight around the brows or on the eye and cheek area, and the dark color can be used to contour the face.

Although I enjoyed this product and will probably use it again, I do believe that the price is somewhat high. It costs $30 for 2.8 grams for 1 ounce. Many similar products in the same price range come with a finishing powder or a concealer brush or wand to apply the makeup, while Circle/Delete concealer doesn't come with additional features.

Watching me do my face one morning, my husband observed how I didn't wear makeup when he met me. Well, yeah, and if my skin was as nice as it was twentysome years ago, I wouldn't be such a slave to it as I am now. Today, I have lots of flaws I try to disguise — spider veins, brown spots, ruddy red patches from winter weather. And now I am armed with a terrific concealer that hides them all.

Jane Iredale Circle/Delete offers much more than relief from under-eye dark spots. I have used it to success on most areas of my face. The creamy two-tone concealer blends well to the correct shade, and wears well under my foundation for the long day.

And, I appreciate the ingredients that nourish skin rather than dry it out.
