Kiss My Face's air-powered lotion is unlike any moisturizer in my beauty arsenal, and that's not a bad thing.

I initially was skeptical about a lotion in a can, but after the second application, I was pulling up Amazon to see what other scents I could buy.

I tried the lavender shea variety. The moisturizer spritzed on lightly and smoothed my skin instantly. (And, I might add, was quite relaxing before bedtime.) So many lotions are greasy — and, thus, gross — but this wasn't.

Despite the can being a tad heavy, it would be great for purses or gym bags. To open the lotion, click the lid twice to the right. I can't imagine the moisturizer leaking, unlike lotions with flip-top lids that inevitably explode in the bottom of your favorite bag.

This moisturizer will be a great one for summer. It cools when it goes on, so I'm planning to grab the tropical coconut scent and toss it in my beach tote. Now to get those toenails done ...

Alas, Kiss My Face: You used to be my friend; now I think you might be my frenemy. I've used Kiss My Face products before, with good results, and when the chance came to try a new one, I jumped on it.

Then, I saw that the second part of the 2 in 1 was aromatherapy, and I started to worry. Not about the moisturizer part, just about the aroma. And some scent it is. For me, it was like lavender-scented tear gas: My eyes burned, my lungs burned — and I had put the lotion on only my shins and calves and not with very heavy coverage, at that.

Sad thing part 1: When I washed the lotion off to try to diminish the smell, my legs were silky smooth. Sad thing part 2: With an aroma this strong, I can't even pass the product on to someone else, because I don't want anyone around me wearing something this overpowering.

Based on the moisturizing, I might try the fragrance-free variety.

Kiss My Face Air Kiss 2 in 1 Light Moisturizing Lotion delivers a strong fragrance of lavender. That's fine with me; it's one of my favorite scents. A moisturizer that feels and smells good rewards you twice with one swipe. Or, in this case, a spritz and swipe. Spray the lotion on your skin, then rub it in. I like that it dries quickly; it means you can dress almost immediately without worrying about getting your clothes oily.

For several hours after using the lotion, my skin seemed a little plumped up (that's a good thing) and definitely felt smoother. I like this product, especially because it's all-natural and eco-friendly. Still, I'm careful about the overspray — as with any squirter, the lotion tends to travel to areas beyond what was intended.
