Trib tested: Kool-Aid Fun Fizz
Kool-Aid Fun Fizz drinks are sugar-free and surprisingly refreshing. The fizz action is mildly entertaining the first time you do it. After that it's just a delaying tactic as you wait for a minute or so, because you don't want to ingest the undissolved tablet.
We tried Partyin' Punch and Laughin' Lemonade. The punch was pretty sweet, but the lemonade was something I would drink. My daughter liked both, although her comment was, "It's just like Kool-Aid." And if it's just like Kool-Aid, I'd still go for the cheaper packages that make a large container of drink, as opposed to the Fun Fizz which is $1.99 for eight drops that each make 8-ounce drinks.

Being constantly on the run -- we have two very active kids -- anything that combines a not-bad-for-you drink with easy-to-do is more than welcome.
Kool-Aid Fun Fizz drops are perfect if you find yourself scrambling to get out of the house while your children are begging for something to drink on the road. Grab a water bottle and a couple of Kool-Aid Fun Fizz pellets, and you're good to go. The kids can make their own drink on the way. There's also the entertainment factor: Watching the colorful pellets dissolve in water is quite neat, according to my 5-year-old.
But the best thing is they taste just like Kool-Aid -- we tested Partyin' Punch and Laughin' Lemonade -- and they're sugar free. Yeah, the cost might be more than the packets that make larger quantities, but you're paying for the convenience. And in this era of on-the-run families, that might be well worth it.
