My windshield never has looked better. Never. Not even when I bought the car off the lot. And now I can't stop talking about this little wiper. Seriously -- I'm way too geeked out about a window cleaner.
Simpler than sealing an envelope, the Windshield Wonder assembles in a snap -- slide on the microfiber cloth, click the handle together, fill the spray bottle with water, and you're in business.
I was befuddled -- bordering on upset, even -- when I saw that the Wonder was supposed to work with just water -- yea, right. Just water. Mmm-hmmm. I now stand corrected and completely grossed out because of how dirty the cloth became from what had been on my windshield! Yuck! I knew it wasn't the cleanest spot in my car, but I guess that was a true understatement after using the Wonder.
The head pivots, making deeper windshield angles manageable, and the cleaning cloths are washable and reusable -- so I can use it on every car and house window without worry.
Still, the coolest part about this cleaning tool wasn't even the lasting result -- I'm still reveling in it's ability to get my guy excited to clean!

As per instructions, I put it together and filled the enclosed little spray bottle with plain tap water. Then I went around the house and cleaned every glass surface in sight, including the kitchen window and front storm-door window. It seems to work OK, although when dirt -- like the overspray from a can of tomato sauce that I dropped -- gets on the microfiber cloth, it just smears that all over the next subject. So, I changed the cloth to the spare one and went out to the Chevy Trailblazer.
This car is notorious for having a film on the inside of the front windshield, courtesy of the defroster.
The handle of this product is the selling point. You just spray the cloth with the tap water, and the tool swivels perfectly as the damp cloth cleans off all of that film from the windshield. I did not have to do any yoga positions to get to the corners of the windshield and clean them. Because it worked so well, I opened the tailgate and cleaned the back window, as well.

Most minivan owners will attest to two maintenance jobs they loathe: changing the rear spark plugs and cleaning the inside of the windshield. The shallow angle of the windshield might make the vehicle more aerodynamic, but it leaves an impossibly long, narrow no-man's land where it meets the dashboard. Even if you could reach in there, it's too tight a fit for anything but the slimmest of cleaning tools.
The Windshield Wonder's hinged head and super-thin cleaning pad is the perfect tool for the job. I was able to clean the whole piece of glass while barely leaning forward in the front seat. After that, I was able to find a few other spaces I had been neglecting, and it easily reached them, too.
But the real icing on the cake is the Windshield Wonder's low cost of use. It uses no chemicals, just plain water -- and it even comes with its own spray bottle for that purpose. And the microfiber cleaning pads are washable and reusable, so you should be able to use the product indefinitely without any further investment. That seals the deal for me!
The only improvement I could imagine would be to give the cleaning head a slightly convex surface, or make it somewhat flexible, for better contact with the glass -- because it is designed specifically for windshield interiors. Still, I give the Windshield Wonder two thumbs up.
