Trucker killed in parking lot
SOUTH HUNTINGDON – A man was killed in the wee hours of this morning after being struck and killed by a garbage truck at a Smithton truck stop.
The unidentified man was pulled under the rear wheels of a Greenridge Waste Services truck as he made his way across the lot to his parked tractor trailer.
The garbage truck was driven by Jeremy S. Johnson, of Mill Run. Johnson could not be reached for comment.
The victim was driving a truck owned by ATS, based in St. Cloud, Minn. ATS could not be reached for comment as of presstime.
