I don't understand why people are protesting the results of the election because it won't change the outcome. The people who voted for Donald Trump are fed up with the status quo. Mr. Trump is a businessman and knows how to run a large company, which is how he will probably run the White House and the country.
I recognize that he is a brash, boorish and bombastic man and has probably been that way since he was in prep school. Accept it. That's how he is. Now he has a big job ahead of him, and he needs our support and prayers.
I believe most people felt that Hillary Clinton couldn't be trusted. She would carry too much baggage with her. Her whole public life has been rife with one scandal after another, from the Clintons' involvement in Whitewater and her husband's affairs while in the White House to her own scandals with the Benghazi tragedy while secretary of State to her emails. She is a politician who has had years to polish her style and it shows with her political double speak.
Mr. Trump is the first nonpolitician to occupy the White House in recent memory. So give him a chance.
