British TV is getting ready to air video of Christmas turkeys being tortured before being slaughtered, it was reported Monday.
The turkeys -- fattened to the point that their legs broke from their weight -- were "booted around like footballs" before being gassed, the Sun alleged.
The newspaper said footage of the abuse will be shown on Channel 4's "Dispatches."
In order to keep turkey prices low, the birds were bred to have enormous breasts they couldn't even mate and had to be artificially inseminated, the Sun charged.
