Traffic on the Pennsylvania Turnpike will be restricted to one lane in each direction near Donegal this week. Work crews will close lanes to relocate barriers on nine miles of the highway.

One eastbound lane will be closed from 10 tonight until 10 p.m. Monday. A westbound lane will be closed from 10 tonight until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Delays are expected.

Other work will close the Donegal interchange to westbound traffic for 10 days, beginning at 11 p.m. Monday. Crews will use the time to demolish a bridge.

Westbound Turnpike drivers who would exit at Donegal instead will be directed to the Somerset interchange, and to follow an orange detour south on Route 601 and then west on Route 31.

Westbound traffic that would enter the Turnpike at Donegal will be routed west on Route 31, south on Route 982 and then north on Route 119, to the New Stanton interchange.

A commercial truck detour also will be posted.

Eastbound traffic will not be affected by that work.
