LEECHBURG — A man who allegedly constructed a methamphetamine lab that police discovered in December turned himself in to police Tuesday.
Joseph Gonzales, 41, of Route 56, Kiski Township, was released on his own recognizance after his arraignment.
State trooper Alan Collins said the lab was discovered when police went to the home because another man tried to store stolen items in a shed.
Gonzales has been charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Collins said police had to finish chemical tests on the contents of the lab before they could make an arrest.
