TV’s ‘Hulk’ star Jack Colvin, dead at 71

Character actor Jack Colvin who played tabloid journalist Jack McGee on TV's "The Incredible Hulk" has died in Los Angeles at the age 71.

Colvin died of stroke complications Thursday at a North Hollywood nursing home, The Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

Colvin co-starred with Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno on the "Incredible Hulk," which aired on CBS from 1977 to 1982.

He also appeared on shows such as "The Rat Patrol," "Kojak," "The Six Million Dollar Man," "The Rockford Files," "Quincy," "Cagney and Lacey" and "Murder, She Wrote." He played minor roles on several Hollywood films including "Scorpio" and "Rooster Cogburn."

The classically trained actor was active in Los Angeles theater as well and was the artistic director of the Michael Chekhov Studio, USA West, at the time of his death.
