Stage and TV star Tyne Daly has joined the cast of the Broadway production of David Lindsay-Abaire's play, "The Rabbit Hole."
To be directed by Daniel Sullivan and co-starring Cynthia Nixon and John Slattery, the Manhattan Theatre Club production is set to open Feb. 2, the show's producers said in a statement.
In the play, Becca (Nixon) and Howie Corbett (Slattery) have everything a family could want, until the day their world is turned upside-down by a life-shattering accident. "Rabbit Hole" charts their search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day, the producers revealed.
Daly, who won a 1990 Tony Award for her role in the musical "Gypsy," will play the role of Nat, Becca's mother. "Rabbit Hole" marks her first Broadway appearance since "The Seagull" in 1992.
Daly has won six Emmy awards, including four for "Cagney & Lacey," and most recently in 2003 for her performance on "Judging Amy."
