An online video allegedly showing the body of a U.S. flier being dragged from a crashed helicopter in Iraq is "despicable," the U.S. military said Wednesday.

Even though military spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Withington said the authenticity of the video could not be verified, he said it demonstrated terrorists' "immoral disregard" for human dignity and life, CNN reported.

"We are outraged that anyone would create and publish such a despicable video for public exposure," Withington said.

The U.S. military said an Army Apache Longbow helicopter went down Saturday west of Yousifiah, Iraq, likely from enemy fire. However, it also said remains of U.S. military personnel aboard were recovered.

The video dated April 2 showed part of what appeared to be a burning body being dragged from a helicopter, the report said.

Also Wednesday, two bombs exploded in Baghdad killing three people. On Tuesday, three bombs killed 14 people in Baghdad and Samara, Iraq.
