A Russian Soyuz spacecraft blasted off Saturday for the International Space Station with a fare-paying "space tourist" on board.

Gregory Olsen, a U.S. businessman and scientist, forked over a reported $20 million for his unique 10-day vacation in space. Docking is scheduled for Monday.

"The crew are in good physical condition, communication is stable and all systems are working normally after the separation from the carrier rocket," a spokesman said.

The expedition crew will conduct 46 experiments including two spacewalks.
