A Fayette County man was stabbed in the hand and robbed of cash and a small safe during a home invasion, according to a Uniontown police report.

Michael Greer, 34, of Evans Street, told police a masked man entered his house through a kitchen window 5:57 a.m. Tuesday and kicked in his bedroom door.

The man stabbed Greer in the left hand while robbing him of $80 cash and the safe, according to the report. The man fled out a back door.

Neither Greer nor his mother, Ivalea Greer, could identify the man for police.

Greer was taken to Unionown Hospital for treatment of a hand injury. An investigation is ongoing.
