One of the original surviving, unsigned copies of the Declaration of Independence will be on display Friday and Saturday at the Carnegie Science Center, officials said, as part of a promotion to register young voters.

Cricket Communications Inc. has partnered with Declare Yourself -- a campaign to encourage eligible young adults to register to vote -- for a tour that brings the document to cities around the country, said Grace Kane, area marketing manager for Cricket.

It will be displayed in a high-security case in the North Shore center's lobby area, free to the public from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Potential voters can register on-site and learn more about the voting process.
