Upper Tyrone Township supervisors need more information on plans for an industrial park planned by FayPenn Economic Development at the old Kendi farm off Route 119 near National Envelope before they give support to the project.
Fay-Penn officials had asked supervisors for a letter of support but Supervisor Bill Edwards said there were just too many questions left unanswered.
Questions include how the added traffic to the same road that employees of National Envelope use would affect the area and how Fay-Penn proposes to deal with no public sewage to the property at this point.
Fay-Penn representative Ron Cole said answers would be unavailable until a report from an engineer became available. He said an engineer was appointed to the project this week.
Supervisors did pass a motion of support for Fay-Penn applying for low-interest loans, which Fay-Penn representative Michael Jordan said were needed since the low-interest loan application was due at the end of the month.
Supervisors stipulated that in no way was this a show of support for the project.
In other business, supervisors set trick-or-treat in the township for Oct. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m. and rescheduled the supervisor's regular meeting scheduled for Nov. 8 to Nov. 15 due to Election Day.
