US Airways will no longer offer a direct flight from Pittsburgh to Newark after March 7.

US Airways is the biggest carrier at the Pittsburgh International Airport but has been steadily cutting its flights since the Sept. 11 attacks that severely hurt the airline industry.

Currently, US Airways offers seven nonstop flights to Newark weekly.

Continental will continue to offer nonstop flights to Newark. Continental flies to Newark seven times daily during the week, four times on Saturdays and six times on Sundays.
